Tourist Attractions
First up
is the Hawa Mahal. It's a wonderful palace in the city. It was founded in the
18th century by someone named Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Lal Chand Usta is
also the one who designed this palace in the shape of the crown of the Hindu
god Krishna.
The
crown figure is part of the palace and extends into the women's apartments or
the apartments of the zenana and harem. The real purpose of this palace is to
allow the royal ladies to watch the daily life of the people on the streets
without being seen. The palace has 5 floors and was built with pink and red
sandstones highlighted with vibrant white lime colors. The street side of the
building has approx. 953 windows.
The
breeze, known locally as Hawa, circulates through all of the small windows that
give the place its name. In addition, the breeze in the windows keeps the
building cool and comfortable even in hot weather. The entrance to the building
leads to a courtyard with two-story buildings on 3 sides. Only the ramps are
used to reach the upper floors of the building. That is why the stairs are
built.
Another
great place in Jaipur is the Jantar Mantar. It is a collection of various
architectural and astronomical instruments built by the King or Maharaja Jai
Singh II. This collection was established between the years 1726 and 1735.
The collections were inspired by the collection that Maharaja Jai Singh II
built for him and for the Mughal capital New Delhi. King Jai Singh II built 5
different workshops in different locations including the workshops in Jaipur
and New Delhi. In fact, the largest laboratory or observatory is located in
this city.
The
Jaigarh Fort is located 15 kilometers from the city of Jaipur. It is considered
to be one of the most spectacular fortresses in India. This fort has almost all
of the original services intact. There are two forts in the area. The top of
the area is Jaigarh Fort, while the bottom is Amber Fort. These two forts are
connected by guarded passages.
Jaigarh
Fort is at the heart of the arms manufacturing facility that was built for the
Raiput. This site is also home to the Jaivana, the largest cannon on wheels in
the world. There is also a 5 kilometer canal that you can see when you go to
the fort to bring water. This canal comes from the hills and goes down to be
stored in the fortress by the soldiers. A water tank has already been placed
and connected to the water storage channel.
